Abraham Verghese (July 2024)

Hummingbird Books hosted an evening with New York Times Bestselling author, Abraham Verghese. He shared stories of his family’s journey, his process as a writer, and the passion and care he infuses into all of his work.

Tracy Kidder (June 2023)

Hummingbird Books hosted Pulitzer Prize-winning author, Tracy Kidder where we shared an insightful conversation about his work and his latest book, ROUGH SLEEPERS. Proceeds from the event benefited The Winter Walk. The Winter Walk is a non-profit organization raising awareness and funds to end homelessness in our communities.

Emma Lovewell (May 2023)

Emma Lovewell, beloved Peloton instructor joined us to promote her book, LIVE LEARN LOVE WELL. Our community (we had almost 200 people in line!) was excited to meet their favorite instructor in-person. It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon, we had DJ Carl play some fun tunes and many new friendships were formed in line.

Bonnie Garmus (February 2023)

Hummingbird Books and The Street at Chestnut Hill hosted two events with #1 New York Times Best Selling author Bonnie Garmus. Bonnie was a delight and we loved hearing about the origins of her Best Selling book LESSONS IN CHEMISTRY. She also shared some details about the Apple TV series of Lessons in Chemistry. We’re excited to see what Bonnie does next!

Elin Hilderbrand (November 2022)

Hummingbird Books hosted an entertaining evening with New York Times Bestselling author, Elin Hilderbrand. We were charmed by stories of her successes, challenges, and the truth behind those “retirement” rumors.

Emily Oster (July 2022)

Hummingbird Books hosted an evening with one of Times 100 Most Influential, Emily Oster. We spent the evening with Emily chatting about all things pregnancy and parenting.

Ben Mezrich (May 2022)

New York Times Bestselling author, Ben Mezrich joined Hummingbird Books for a fireside chat to celebrate the paperback release of his book the The Anti-Social Network.
